Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training 200h

VINYASA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

Yoga Alliance Certification RYT-200

11 weekends between October 2016 – June 2017

This course is designed to prepare you to teach Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga. Our focus is on understanding the bases of modern yoga, while still respecting the roots of traditional yoga.

The teacher training is practical and solid, and will help you to deepen in your own practice as well as acquire the necessary abilities to become a professional yoga instructor.

Our methods of teaching are interactive, focusing on the lived experience of yoga, teaching, and group dynamics. They include methods of reflective analysis of oneself, as well as the task of writing a personal diary of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing and meditation practice.

The training is ideal as much for students who are already teaching and want to deepen their knowledge as for those who want to start their journey toward becoming yoga teachers.

What is the style of yoga taught in Yogaroom?

Our style is a fluid practice where we synchronize the movement of our body with the breath, which represents the connection between our physical and energetic bodies. Through the breath we use the natural movement of our body to enrich our practice. We also focus on: alignment, bandha and drishti to generate awareness and integrity. We work in a conscious way without music to facilitate being able to feel our own internal sounds, as well as our inner silence.

What will you learn in the course?

  • how to guide your students in a safe way, with well-designed and structured classes (anatomy, physiology, biomechanics)
  • how to become an authentic yoga teacher (find your own style, finding your voice, the responsibilities of being a teacher)
  • how to apply the study of yogic texts, such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita, in your life and your classes
  • how to live a yogic lifestyle (Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine)
  • how to adapt postures and practice for special cases (pregnancy, menstruación, back problems)
  • and much more! our standards fully respect the standards of the International Yoga Alliance
and we are a Registered Yoga School (RYS-200)
